Moment of Perspective – Bathroom Remodel – AJ Fox

The opening words come to us from Marsha P. Johnson.  Marsha P. Johnson, along with Sylvia Rivera, are two of the trans women of color who were instrumental in the Stonewall Inn Uprising which was the beginnings of Pride.“History isn’t something you look back at and say it was inevitable. It happens because people make decisions that are sometimes very impulsive and of the moment, but those moments are cumulative realities.”

Our final words today come from Sylvia Rivera. Sylvia Rivera, along with Marsha P. Johnson, were two of the trans women of color who were foundational in the Stonewall Inn Uprising which served as the foundation for Pride. Sylvia Rivera was asked why she continued to come out to the protests night after night.
She famously said: “I’m not missing a minute of this. It’s the revolution!”
